King County Archives recently made 45 volumes of the King County Assessor’s timber cruise reports from 1907-1908 available on their website. Later the King County Historic Preservation Program will combine the maps with other GIS data as part of a cultural resources protection project. The Archives article explains how you can use King County iMap to help you find specific timber cruise reports by location and then retrieve them from the Archives. Eventually, the maps will be available as a layer in iMap.
